Partnering with Filing for Freedom

If you are interested in giving back to those individuals who give so much of themselves, day in and day out, you have come to the right place.

Filing for Freedom is a program that brings together tax and legal professionals to provide free tax preparation services to military members (E-8 and below and qualifying families) and first responders. These heroes put themselves in harm’s way for us and ask so little in return.

We are currently registering military members, first responders and the volunteers who will provide this valuable service to them free of charge.

This program is made possible due to partnerships with the IRS, the Department of Defense, state CPA associations, state bar associations, the Tax Section of the American Bar Association (Pro Bono & Low- Income Taxpayer Committee), and the Federal Bar Association.

But a vital piece is still missing.

We need you, too.

We need business leaders from the regional and national communities to come forward, too, to help us staff and fund the Filing for Freedom program. Your contribution will help to offset a portion of the overhead costs incurred for both volunteers and taxpayers, including:

• Secure Wi-Fi
• Printers
• Office supplies
• Food/beverages for volunteers
• T-shirts to identify volunteers
• other expenses
